This project maps the Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS) training sector across Ontario. It provides foundational knowledge upon which we can consider the development of pathways between industry-based ICS professional development programs and their counterparts in Ontario post-secondary education. In particular, it provides integral information regarding the current state of ICS arrangements that support the recognition/transferability of ICS training or professional development by PSE institutions, as well as uncovers strategic and long-term directions for PSE in contributing to provincial and federal healthcare directives in patient safety, cultural safety, and truth and reconciliation within curriculum and as a sector.
